A Storybook Lakeside Wedding

I’ve known Kayla since she was a little girl.  Her parent’s house was just over the hill from where my family lived near Pinecrest Country Club.  To put it fairly easy, I grew up by hole 3 and her house was closer to 18, so babysitting was a super easy walk across the golf course.  You can imagine how excited I was when Kayla contacted me to be her wedding photographer!  I photographed their engagement session on an extremely COLD winter afternoon and I knew after that day that they were just meant to be a SH couple.  Not only did we have a great time, I could easily see the chemistry between them (and of course their fur baby too)!

Kayla was certainly an over-achiever when it came to wedding planning.  She had every detail completely worked out and seriously thought of everything.  Kayla found the sweetest wedding planning couple, the Kellers, to make sure that everything went very smoothly.  Although Kayla decided against a first look with Jeff, she did create a special opportunity for her father.  Craig was so overjoyed and the expression on his face when he turned to see Kayla was priceless.  You can tell he just adores her and is just as excited to welcome Jeff into the family.

I couldn’t believe the beautiful weather we had!  After what has seemed like weeks or constant rain, we were so fortunate to have a gorgeous warm summer day. Kayla looked absolutely amazing! My dear assistant and sweet friend Molly joined me after the ceremony to capture the rest of the day together.  We felt so incredibly loved from the moment we arrived until we said our goodbyes. We’re so thankful for families that make us feel like a part of their world and welcome us with open arms!
