Amanda and Joe
Amanda and Joe’s Erie wedding day brought together everything we love about saying “I DO” in the Erie area. Their celebration included family, friends, beautiful Erie views, and plenty of dancing. The day began at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront before moving to the ceremony and reception.
For brides planning a similar celebration, this timeline offers plenty of helpful inspiration.
Start Your Day Near The Erie Bayfront
Amanda and her bridesmaids began their morning at the Sheraton on the Erie Bayfront. Having everyone together early created plenty of time for fun getting ready moments and beautiful portraits.
Addison, Amanda and Joe’s daughter, immediately became the star of the morning. She loved the camera and brought so much personality to every photo.
The girls also exchanged gifts and shared emotional toasts. Amanda made personalized purses for both mothers using childhood photos. It was such a thoughtful way to honor the women who helped shape her life.
The bridesmaids also surprised Amanda with a special memory book. It included photos, letters, and notes from the girls. They even included a dedicated page honoring Amanda’s dad, who was deeply missed.
Take Advantage of Erie’s Bay Views
One benefit of starting at the Sheraton is the beautiful bayfront location. We stepped outside for portraits while sailboats moved across the water.
The September weather was sunny, warm, and absolutely gorgeous. If you are planning an Erie wedding day, consider building in time for waterfront portraits. Even a short window can create a completely different look for your gallery.
A Beautiful Church Ceremony
The couple continued to Saint Peter’s Cathedral for their ceremony. The historic church provided an incredible setting for Amanda and Joe to exchange vows.
Of course, Addison stole the show again. Her tiny bouquet was absolutely adorable as she walked down the aisle.
After the ceremony, everyone celebrated with a bubble exit. This is such a fun alternative to traditional exits and bring such a fun and playful element to your wedding photos.
