This day started with a lot squeals, hugs and “oh my goodness it’s finally here!”. It seems like I was just at Alicia and Ryan’s engagement session. I spent their engagement session getting to know them and hearing all about their families. One of my favorite things about a wedding day is that I get to finally meet all of the people that I have heard my couples speak so highly of. Alicia and Ryan’s family and friends were just a DELIGHT to be around!
Alicia’s bridesmaids were so incredibly sweet. I honestly felt so undeserving of the compliments they gave me throughout the day. They were so kind, inclusive and encouraging…. just like Alicia. It’s no wonder they are all such great friends and close family members! Throughout the day, friends mentioned both in the ceremony and in their toasts about Ryan and Alicia’s love for their parents. Being a parent myself, it inspires me. What a legacy to have children who love and respect you and your marriage so much that it’s a common topic brought up on their wedding day! One of my favorite parts of the day was when Alicia’s father addressed the new bride and groom with advice about marriage, he was so genuine and sweet and I’m sure that Alicia and Ryan appreciated the great wisdom that was shared.
Being the last weekend in October in Pennsylvania, the weather is so unpredictable. Thankfully the leaves decided to stay on the trees just long enough for us to take some beautiful portraits even though it rained the entire day. We were working in high-speed mode after the ceremony to get everything accomplished in the rain but you would never know it in their portraits! Alicia and Ryan are pros. They are such a joy to work with and it saddens me that my time with them is over!
This wedding post is the LAST ONE of 2019 and I couldn’t think of a more perfect couple to end with than these two. Alicia and Ryan, love you both! Your day was a dream and it was such a privilege to be the one there to capture it!! Thank you for allowing me to be there!!! I can’t wait to share my favorites!
