Nicole and Thomas’ Whisper Hollow wedding was the kind of day that left everyone smiling and thankful to be part of it. SHP team photographers, Sara and Maddi captured every moment as their celebration unfolded with love, laughter, touches of Disney magic, and memories their family and friends will treasure for years to come.

A Warm Welcome

From the very beginning, everyone felt cared for, including our team! We were welcomed with open arms by the couple, and by the owners of Whisper Hollow. They were right there as guests arrived, helping direct traffic and making sure everyone knew where to go. From photo spots to bridal party spaces, they had it all covered. They were so kind and accommodating and wanted nothing more than for Nicole and Thomas to have the perfect day. They truly went above and beyond!

Disney Details and Sweet Traditions

Nicole and Thomas share a love for Disney, and it showed in so many fun and thoughtful ways. Disney music played while Nicole got ready, and more Disney songs were woven into the ceremony. Their cake even had Mickey ears, along with Mr. and Mrs. Kernan written in the iconic Disney font. We loved capturing Nicole and Thomas’ fairytale dreams made into reality.

Their Whisper Hollow wedding all about about fun details, but more importantly, it also reflected their strong faith. One of the most powerful moments was their “first touch,” where they talked quietly and then invited two close friends to pray over them. Later that night, they ended their celebration with a large group prayer, surrounded by family and friends. It was so beautiful to witness this couple honoring the Lord on their wedding day.

Unique Moments to Remember

This couple created memories that were truly their own. During their first dance, they released butterflies. It didn’t go exactly as planned… in fact, the butterflies took a little longer to “wake up”. But the result was something even better. Some butterflies landed on their clothes and stayed for photos, their wings gently fluttering while everyone laughed. It was a perfectly imperfect moment that gave them pictures no one else could replicate.

Another emotional highlight came during the mother-son dance. Since Thomas’ mother and sister had both passed away, he honored them in a moving way. His sister sang Scars in Heaven, while other important women in his life, including his grandma, sisters, nieces, and even his new mother-in-law, took turns dancing with him. At the end, they all joined together for a group dance that had everyone in tears. We know Thomas’ mom and sister would be so proud of him and his beautiful union with Nicole, centered on a faith that was passed down to them. They were surely there in spirit.

A Celebration Full of Love

The ceremony itself was lovely, with perfect overcast skies and a pond in the background. Dinner was catered by Gianni’s, with appetizers and dips that guests couldn’t stop talking about. And, of course, a Pittsburgh cookie table made an appearance, keeping with tradition.

When it came time to dance, the floor was packed, with everyone having fun and enjoying the moment. Guests laughed, sang, and danced together like one big family. Their reception felt less like a formal event and more like party and a celebration of two people who mean so much to so many.

Nicole and Thomas’ Whisper Hollow wedding was such a beautiful blend of faith, fun, and the gift of family. With bold prayers, a little bit of Disney magic, and lots of laughter filling the air, it was a day that showed just how powerful love can be when it’s centered on Christ and surrounded by the people who matter most.
