I absolutely love my job. One day I’m photographing a wedding and a couple’s first day of marriage, and then the next day I’m photographing a couple’s 50th anniversary. It’s a beautiful thing…
Rose and Moose met the summer of 68′. He was in Fort Bragg and Rose was finishing high school in 69. The two were married May 2, 1970 and welcomed a little son to their family circle. Moose retired from the US Army after 20 years. What does their story look like at 50 years? These days, it’s lots of camping and they love it! They’ve also welcomed a daughter-in-law to the family as well as two grandchildren. Now, for the last two years, they’ve become “snowbirds” in Florida.
It’s no coincidence that I’ve shared their story with you today. 50 years ago today these two tied the knot and made it official. How amazing is it to get to document the flip side of wedding photography! Yes, weddings are important, but it’s what you do with your life after that one day that truly matters. This is what 50 years together looks like and it’s so inspiring.
P. S. I maaaay have included a picture from their dating years and from their wedding day in at the end. So be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom!
50 YEARS YOU GUYS!!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON A LIFETIME TOGETHER! Rose and Moose – you have blessed my family more than you know. I hope you realize how very special you are to so many people….you are loved much! Happy anniversary!
