A Sacred Heart Catholic Church Wedding, Saint Mary’s Pennsylvania
The day started with bubbly personalities and sweet greetings from all the girls as they were getting their hair and makeup done at KC Studios in downtown Saint Mary’s, PA. Claire and I walked in, found Becky and then one by one I met her amazing bridesmaids. From the moment I met them all, I knew this was going to be a fun day, not lacking any energy!
Marty and Becky have the sweetest personalities. They had every reason to be overwhelmed and frustrated with several things that weren’t going as planned on their wedding day… the main thing being the constant RAIN that greatly impacted our ability for portraits. Their attitudes and grace on their big day were just amazing, and I’m so thankful that they didn’t let these little hiccups steal their joy!
They were married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and their reception was held at a brand new venue in Saint Mary’s called Maker’s Warehouse. Immediately after the ceremony the entire bridal party boarded a school bus and headed to Benzinger Park where thankfully, we had just enough of a clearing in the rain to get a few portraits taken. One of the sweetest moments that stood out to me was at the reception when Marty took the microphone to thank everyone for coming…and also relive a sweet memory. He proceeded to share with all the guests the night he proposed to Becky. They realized that after all the random unexpected occurrences that accompanied the proposal, Marty was never able to get down on a knee to propose, so in an effort to make up for that moment he knelt down on his knee to ask Becky for join him in their first dance as husband and wife!
Marty and Becky it is such an honor to be the ones trusted to capture this exciting season of your life!!! Your love for one another and deep care for your family and friends was such a gift to experience this past weekend. What a beautiful new chapter you have started! We’re so happy for you!!
