The engagement session is one of my favorite ways to get to know my couples. Getting to spend time with Carli and Ryan was such an honor! These High School sweethearts began their love story back in 2013, during their freshman year. Through the highs and lows of high school, their bond grew stronger, leading them to make a brave choice before college: to try a long-distance relationship. Carli went to Clarion, while Ryan headed to Penn State Behrend, far apart but still deeply in love.
Shared Passions, Strong Bonds
Their engagement session wasn’t just about taking photos; it showed their enduring connection and shared interests. As their photographer, I got to see their love story unfold right before my eyes.Their story isn’t just about love; it’s also about the things they enjoy together. They adore their cute dog, and they’re big fans of the Steelers and Penn State Football.
Family First
Besides their hobbies, Carli and Ryan are very close to their families. Their commitment to family shines through in everything they do, showing the strong foundation of their relationship.
One of the highlights for me was bonding with Carli’s parents. We met at Jessica and Derrick’s wedding, and Carli later told me her mom loves my work and wishes we lived closer so we could be friends. It’s heartwarming to know that my photos mean so much to someone like her and even after our short talk over dinner…I guarantee we would be besties!
As I captured moments of love and laughter, I felt incredibly grateful to be part of Carli and Ryan’s journey. Their engagement session wasn’t just about taking pretty pictures; it was about celebrating a love that has stood the test of time and distance.
