After what felt like endless days of rain and gray skies, the sun finally decided to make an appearance—and just in time for Nicole and Dominick’s beautiful Hartwood Acres engagement session! I could not have asked for a better evening. The light was soft and golden, the breeze was perfect, and this sweet couple brought all the love and laughter.

The Perfect Location

When Nicole first reached out to me, she mentioned wanting a location that had both a wide-open field and a more formal, elegant vibe—something with architecture or stone details. Immediately, I thought of Hartwood Acres in Pittsburgh, PA. It checks all the boxes: rolling green spaces, classic stone buildings, and that beautiful combination of nature and structure that makes sessions feel dynamic and timeless.

I always get excited when couples are up for variety in their photos, and this spot gave us everything we needed. From romantic strolls in the field to quiet moments by the estate walls, it was the perfect backdrop for their story.

So Much Joy

Nicole and Dominick were a dream to work with. From the first click of the shutter, they brought such a natural sweetness to every frame. You could tell they were just happy to be together—comfortable, connected, and excited for what’s ahead. That kind of joy is contagious, and it made the session feel so relaxed and fun.
