A Heinz Memorial Chapel Wedding | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
We absolutely loved being a part of Rachel and Ewing’s wedding day and I’m so very glad our paths crossed. It all started one day after Kellan’s Rising Star’s Basketball practice. I picked Kellan up from basketball and the first words out of his mouth were “Mom! You gotta meet Coach Ewing…he amazing!” I knew from that point he had made quite an impression on my son but what I didn’t realize until after getting to know Ewing and Rachel is how much they both make a lasting impression on everyone! Not long after getting to know Ewing, I received a Facebook message asking if I could cover his surprise engagement to Rachel-that night (he was SO excited!) Unfortunately I wasn’t able to but we had made plans for the following day. I swear the ring was burning a hole in his pocket because he proposed that night anyway…he was so excited to make Rachel his lifelong partner. We did end up meeting a few days later for their engagement session and it was so sweet!
After meeting her for the first time, I can see why Ewing was so excited to propose! Rachel is kind, smart, driven, funny and just overall the sweetest person. Not only is she all of those things, she’s also gorgeous. I have been looking forward to capturing her as a bride since the first day we met!
Their wedding day was elegant, classy and filled with so much joy! Claire and I love capturing our first wedding at Heinz Memorial Chapel and the Soldiers and Sailors Museum was the perfect location for a reception. Some people ask us if we’re truly able to enjoy weddings when we’re photographing them and the answer is yes! We love it and we consider it such an honor to be the ones preserving the memories of their day. As you scroll through you can’t help to notice the adorable little chubby cheeked baby, Emerson. Emerson is Rachel and Ewing’s little bundle of joy and by the smiles on all three of their faces when they are together its easy to see that their family is off to an amazing beginning. Enjoy our recap of Ewing and Rachel’s wedding day!
