A Mary’s Hope on Church Cove Wedding | St Inigoes, Maryland
What as gorgeous day!! From beginning to end! The locations, the details, the people…. it was wonderful! I knew Elizabeth was detail oriented and we had talked about some of her ideas but I had no clue how everything had come together! I loved it ALL!! Elizabeth and Christopher were married last Sunday and I have been looking forward to this one ALL YEAR! Claire and I first met Elizabeth over seven years ago during a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We were all part of the children’s ministry team and had the opportunity to sing songs, play games and hold little babies in remote and impoverished villages. You really get to know people quickly in situations like this, and Elizabeth quickly became near and dear to our hearts.
I remember Elizabeth emailing me last year and explaining that she was getting married and was so excited. She also told me that her mom passed away in 2018 after a battle with cancer. Elizabeth went on to say that God’s timing is perfect and while she was going through the devastating loss, Christopher was there by her side through it all. Throughout the whole day, her mom was remembered and her life was celebrated. It was a special day and I loved seeing people remember her life. Before her mom passed, she wrote letters to Elizabeth. Claire and I watched as she opened and read one of the letters…tears started flowing and as I looked around the room, every one of us was caught up in the sense of loss but also the wording and timing of the card couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s at weddings like this that I realize how much I love my job. One day, years and years from now, people will look back on these images and remember how happy and joyful Elizabeth and Christopher were on the day they got married and started their life together. Pictures matter. They matter SO much and I’m so thankful that I was able to capture their day for them.

Elizabeth and Christopher, you had the most unbelievable wedding day! Everything was perfect.. even the WEATHER! You are truly an amazing couple with huge hearts and that was evident throughout your whole day. Thank you so much for allowing us to come into your life!! We love you both!!!
