Amy and Derek were so easy to talk to and get to know. As soon as I introduced myself, it felt like I had known them forever! As we walked around Clear Creek State Park, I heard about their families, their wedding planning, their jobs, and what they love most in life.
It’s sessions like these that make me so thankful for clients who could be everyday friends in normal life outside of work! I am so excited for their wedding next year at Stone Fountain Lodge. After six years of shooting, I have yet to photograph a wedding there, and I’m so excited to capture a new venue! It’s a gorgeous location and after getting a peek of Amy’s dress, I just know it’s going to be perfect!!!
Amy and Derek were engaged on September 5, 2020 (Labor Day weekend) at Bald Eagle State Park. They were on a weekend getaway trip with a few of their friends. They went down by the lake to take a few pictures at sunset and that is when Derek popped the question! Amy shared that she kind of had the idea in the back of her head when he suggested that she should paint her nails for a camping trip. It’s obvious that these two are meant to be together and I loved getting the opportunity to see how sweet their relationship is.
It was so nice to have them bring along their fur baby as well! I swear their puppy is the most photogenic dog I’ve ever photographed. You’ll see as you scroll through their photos just what I mean. I can’t wait to see them again! Enjoy getting to know Amy and Derek via their engagement pictures!
