From their wedding day to their maternity session, Amy and Derek have truly become like family to me. Now, being invited into their home for their in home newborn session to capture sweet Axle James made this next chapter even more meaningful. I have the privilege of walking alongside couples through some of life’s most important milestones, and that connection is one of the greatest joys of what I do as a lifestyle newborn and family photographer.
To begin, this in home newborn session centered around quiet moments and gentle connection. Amy and Derek moved through their space with ease while caring for Axle James. As a result, the session felt natural, relaxed, and full of genuine emotion. Their home provided a comfortable environment where they could simply be present with their newborn.
In addition, photographing Axle James in the place where he is growing and being welcomed into the family added a deeper level of meaning. Every detail felt personal. Every moment felt real. Because of that, the images reflect warmth, closeness, and the beauty of this fleeting season.
I love following families as their stories grow over time. From engagement to marriage and now parenthood, each chapter builds on the last. These sessions go beyond photographs. They preserve connection, emotion, and memories that matter most.
Overall, this in home newborn session was a heartfelt reminder of how quickly these early days pass and how valuable it is to capture them with intention. 🤍
