For Johnny’s senior session, we headed to Kyle Lake, and it was the perfect choice for his high school senior photos. We took full advantage of the gorgeous scenery—the peaceful water, the large natural rock formations, and the beautiful outdoor backgrounds that created such a timeless and relaxed feel. Outdoor senior sessions like this allow for so much variety and really help a senior’s personality shine through.
What made this session even more meaningful for me was the personal connection. I remember Johnny as a little boy from years ago when we attended the same church, and standing behind the camera now, photographing him as a high school senior, felt incredibly full circle. Photography has a beautiful way of reconnecting people and bringing moments from the past into the present, and this session was a perfect example of that.
Johnny was confident, easygoing, and such a joy to photograph. His senior session felt natural and authentic, capturing not only how he looks in this season of life, but who he is becoming. Senior portraits are about more than marking the end of high school—they preserve a milestone filled with growth, memories, and excitement for what’s ahead.
