There’s something so special about photographing a couple in a place that means something to them—and Marissa and Vince’s Brockway Engagement session was exactly that. Set in the heart of a sweet little town in western Pennsylvania, this session felt like home from start to finish.
Rooted in a Place They Love
Marissa and Vince have deep roots in Brockway. It’s where their families are, where their story began, and where they’ve built a life together. When they said they wanted their session to be casual and capture that small-town feel, I knew it was going to be something sweet. We strolled through town with no big agenda—just good conversation, natural moments, and the kind of easy laughter that comes with being completely at ease with your person.
A Change of Scenery
After we spent some time in town, we headed over to the nearby country club where Vince works—perfect for their second outfit and a totally different vibe. The open green space, golden light, and just the right amount of country club elegance made for some stunning images.
Even though the evening was a little chilly (hello, western PA spring weather), these two were total troopers. You’d never know from the photos that we were all low-key shivering by the end!
Counting Down to “I Do”
This Brockway Engagement session had all the good stuff: laid-back moments, meaningful locations, and a couple who clearly adore each other. Spending the evening with Marissa and Vince gave me a little glimpse of the love they share—and now I’m even more excited to capture their country club wedding later this year.
