From their wedding day to their maternity session, and now being invited back into their home to capture sweet Axle James, Amy and Derek have truly become like family to me. Being able to walk alongside my couples through so many meaningful milestones is one of the greatest joys of what I do as a lifestyle newborn and family photographer.
This in-home lifestyle newborn session was filled with quiet moments, gentle snuggles, and so much love. There is something incredibly special about photographing newborns in the place where life is unfolding naturally—where memories are being made in real time. Capturing Axle James in his first days at home felt intimate, warm, and deeply meaningful.
I love following my couples as their stories grow, from saying “I do” to welcoming their babies, and everything in between. These sessions are about more than photos—they’re about preserving connection, emotion, and the feeling of this fleeting season. I only wish I had more time with families like this.
