Abby and Daniel
A wedding can be more than a day behind the camera. Sometimes it becomes a day you’re fully present for, connected to, and inspired by. Abigail and Daniel’s wedding was exactly that. From the moment everything began, there was an incredible sense of excitement, connection, and family surrounding them. Their Western, PA wedding took place on their family property. Because both families were so involved, this celebration was incredibly intimate and personal.
For me, this day carried a special significance. I have known Daniel since before he was even born, and his mom, Brandi, has been a dear friend for many years. We raised our children alongside one another in many ways. We shared advice, fears, prayers, Bible studies, and countless conversations throughout our years as young moms. Therefore, seeing her celebrate her son’s marriage was an incredibly emotional full-circle moment. Watching Brandi dance with Daniel during their mother-son dance brought tears to my eyes. You could truly feel how much love and pride filled that moment.
A First Look Full of Emotion
One of my favorite moments happened during Abigail and Daniel’s first look. As Abigail saw Daniel, she immediately melted into his arms. You could see how excited she was to finally become his wife. Her joy continued throughout the day, and it was impossible not to smile while watching them together. That same excitement appeared again during their ceremony. In fact, Abigail literally jumped for joy at the altar. It was such a sweet and genuine expression of happiness. Those unscripted moments are often some of my favorite memories from a wedding day.
Their Western, PA wedding also gave us plenty of opportunities to slow down and focus on the people they love most. We photographed beautiful moments with Abigail and her parents, along with Daniel and his parents. The bridal party was large and full of personality, while Abigail’s family included many young children and babies. Those little ones brought plenty of energy to the day. However, they also created some of the sweetest opportunities for candid photographs and family memories.
A Celebration Built By Two Families
The entire celebration took place at the family home and surrounding property. A large reception tent created a beautiful gathering space for everyone. Meanwhile, both families took on nearly every aspect of making the day happen. From the food and flowers to countless other details, there was a tremendous amount of DIY work involved. You could see how much time, energy, and love went into creating this celebration. Most importantly, everyone worked together because they wanted Abigail and Daniel to have the best day possible.
As the evening continued, Abigail and Daniel danced the night away with their family and friends. Eventually, we stepped outside for beautiful sunset portraits around the property. Aaron was also there to capture incredible drone footage, adding another perspective to their celebration. Altogether, their Western, PA wedding was filled with laughter, emotion, faith, family, and genuine joy.
A Day Close To My Heart
Looking back, this Western, PA wedding will always hold a special place in my heart. It was more than photographing a couple on their wedding day. It was watching a family celebrate a new chapter together. Abigail and Daniel, thank you for allowing me to capture these memories. I hope your photographs always remind you of the people, love, and joy surrounding you that day.
